CMS begins taking comments for PMD demonstration project

The Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) last Tuesday published in the Federal Register a request for comments on the power mobility devices prior authorization demonstration project. The 30-day public comment period is open through June 28. The American Association for Homecare noted that the project is likely to start after Aug. 1 since CMS intends to notify providers at least 30 days prior to beginning the demonstration. Comments and recommendations may be faxed to 202-395–6974 or e-mailed to OIRA_submission@omb.eop.gov.
