The nonprofits mission and vision are outlined in the statement known as The Bayada Way

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania—BAYADA Home Health Care, a global provider of home health care, is making a formal commitment to 10 corporate responsibility priorities in an inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report published this month.

The nonprofit’s mission, vision and values statement known as The BAYADA Way will act as a compass that guides all corporate actions. By narrowing down and aligning these ESG priorities with stakeholder interests, with The BAYADA Way mission—to help people have a safe home life with comfort, independence and dignity and with BAYADA’s core values of compassion, excellence and reliability, the organization plans to stay at the forefront of responsible and ethical business practices.

“Our stakeholders expect more from us than excellent care services; they expect outcomes," BAYADA CEO David Baiada said. "I believe we are entrusted with the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The BAYADA Way is a vision and a blueprint by which we understand our role in creating a healthier and more sustainable world.”

The Unique Impact of Home Health Care

The home care setting is unique in its up-close connection to someone’s life. Being invited to “lift the roof off” to look inside and see how people live, what they are struggling with, and how those needs can be met gives BAYADA a holistic perspective of each client, their family unit, and their social determinants of health.

This view allows home clinicians to tailor each plan of care not only to that person’s medical and safety needs, but also by the environmental, social, financial, and psychological factors influencing their health and well-being outcomes.
