BAYADA is seeking 75 caregivers in Montgomery County for nursing scholarships & job opportunities

PHILADELPHIA—BAYADA Home Health Care, a nonprofit home health care provider, announced it has been awarded $1 million from the Regina Charitable Fund of the Philadelphia Foundation to sponsor 75 caregivers in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on their path to becoming nurses.

The Regina Charitable Fund is a nonprofit established to support organizations that provide care for chronically ill and indigent aged, and to train individuals to provide such care. The nonprofit seeks 25 aspiring nurses annually over the next three years to work as BAYADA home health aides or certified nursing assistants and enroll in its Advance to LPN Scholarship Program, which offers a pathway to become licensed practical nurses (LPN) or registered nurses (RN). While providing paid personal care and companionship services to BAYADA clients, program participants will receive scholarships of $10,000 each to attend the nursing school of their choice.

Additionally, participants will also benefit from:

  • Personalized support: peer events and one-on-one coaching from BAYADA nurse leaders
  • Flexible scheduling: adaptable work schedules for participants to earn while they learn
  • Career advancement opportunity: upon licensure, participants can immediately enter the accredited Nurse Residency Program for a smooth school-to-practice transition

“This collaboration with the Regina Charitable Fund is about more than just funding; it’s about building a stronger community,” said Michelle Adams, BAYADA director of workforce development. “The benefits are clear: we’re fostering job creation and career growth in our community, we’re making significant strides to alleviate the local nursing shortage, and ultimately, we’re ensuring that more people can receive the care they need in the place they most want to be—home.”

Aspiring nurses interested in the Advance to LPN Scholarship Program must first apply to work at BAYADA, then apply to the program. Applications are accepted periodically throughout the year, with the next window open through November 13, 2025. Current BAYADA caregivers in nursing school may complete the interest form for early access to the application.
