PHILADELPHIA—BAYADA Home Health Care, a provider of home-based health care services, has been named to the U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural list of best home health providers.
"Choosing a provider is an emotional decision, and families are often most concerned about the risk of their loved one being readmitted to the hospital," said Justin Searle, home health president at BAYADA. "Primary care providers and health systems know they can rely on BAYADA to keep people safe at home, where they most want to be. This recognition from U.S. News validates our clinical standards and our role as a trusted partner in the care continuum."
The U.S. News Best Home Health ratings are unbiased analyses developed to help consumers and their families make informed decisions about post-acute care. The methodology evaluates agencies using data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Specifically, this methodology combines:
- Quality of care measures, such as how quickly care was initiated and the rate of preventable hospitalizations
- Patient experience scores derived from Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys.
To earn the "best" designation, an agency must be recognized in the "high-performing" tier, a distinction achieved by only about 17% of homecare providers evaluated nationwide.
