NEW YORK—Arya Health, an AI company that helps home health care and post-acute care providers automate scheduling, compliance and other administrative operations, released results from its partnership with Connect Pediatrics, a pediatric home health care provider. Arya said the collaboration delivered gains across scheduling, recruiting and clinician re-engagement; all without proportional increases in administrative staff.
Staffing shortages are intensifying, with the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis projecting an overall shortage of 250,710 registered nurses by 2038. Meanwhile, the American Hospital Association’s 2026 Workforce Scan found that 81% of health care leaders cite care delays as a significant challenge attributable to staffing gaps.
Arya deployed AI-powered digital agents across Connect Pediatrics’ core operations, targeting scheduling, recruiting and clinician engagement. Rather than replacing existing workflows, Arya’s agents worked alongside the operations team autonomously handling shift outreach, applicant follow-up and clinician re-engagement while routing complex decisions back to human coordinators.
Arya’s AI-enabled system of action orchestrates the workflows that keep distributed care organizations running. Working alongside the electronic medical record, Arya’s agents handle operational tasks such as staffing shifts, tracking compliance, onboarding caregivers and coordinating payroll and engagement. The system learns from each interaction to continuously improve workforce coordination and operational reliability.
The companies said this resulted in:
- Twenty-five percent increase in scheduler productivity: Arya’s staffing agent handled shift outreach, eliminating full days of phone tag and manual follow-up. Schedulers were freed to focus on complex cases and family communication, with no new hires required for the same workload.
- Thousands of hours of clinical care scheduled autonomously: The staffing agent autonomously scheduled clinical care, reducing manual outreach cycles and freeing schedulers to focus on complex cases.
- 150+ clinicians staffed with Connect Pediatrics for the first time: Arya’s recruiting agent engaged candidates more quickly than the previous manual process, significantly reducing time-to-fill for open roles and improving conversion.
