According to a report from the Office of inspector General, providers submitted claims for at least 75 types of mail-order diabetic test strips in the last quarter of 2009. Two brands — Lifescan's One Touch Ultra and Bayer's Acensia Contour — made up 26 percent of the Medicare mail-order market share, seven brands accounted for about 50 percent and 19 brands accounted for approximately 81 percent.
