BALTIMORE — CMS has added an important clarification to a message first sent Jan. 3 alerting grandfathered suppliers of a possible problem on claims submitted under competitive bidding.
The agency has figured out a temporary fix with payments on a fee schedule basis instead of the single payment amounts. But "in order to mitigate the need to adjust claims in the future," the clarification said, "suppliers should submit the applicable single payment amount for the accessory or supply as their submitted charge on the claim."
