ATLANTA — AAHomecare will hold its seventh Stand Up for Homecare fundraiser at Medtrade on Monday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. (new time) at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. According to the association, the campaign continues to generate positive public awareness about the value of home care and key threats to the HME industry.
"During the last few years, our industry has been learning new ways to tell our story about home care, HME, and the value and protection we provide for our patients," said Randy Wolfe, president of Lambert's Health Care, Knoxville, Tenn., and chair of the steering committee that guides the PR campaign.
The committee is now recruiting advocates for a "national grassroots sub-organization that will be able to take our message and mission and spread it more widely to our local communities," Wolfe said. "As we go forward, we hope to achieve the long-needed critical mass which can provide the leverage needed to gain congressional attention and win congressional support for home care and a long-term care solution that makes since for America."
