GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (July 13, 2015)—Point-of-Rental Software, a Texas-based company that offers rental and inventory management solutions, was one of nine finalists competing for the Cloud Innovator of the Year title at the 2015 Cloud Innovation World Cup Awards on July 8th. Held at Google headquarters in New York, the Cloud Innovation World Cup identifies advancements in cloud computing with the goal of fostering cutting-edge solutions.

Point-of-Rental CLOUD, the company’s web-based software that includes features designed specifically for the HME industry, was chosen as a finalist out of 312 software products from 59 countries.

Listing features such as easy contract writing, quote reservation, inventory tracking, missed-rentals reporting and more, Point-of-Rental CLOUD competed in ICT Business Services division based on the flexibility of cloud computing, which allows businesses to manage operations in real time from anywhere that offers an Internet connection. CLOUD’s web-based functionality eliminates expenses associated with hardware, maintenance and license fees, making affordability a prime selling point.

Point-of-Rental CEO Wayne Harris was on hand to represent the company at the Google-sponsored event. “It’s always an honor to be recognized for our work,” Harris said, “but when other innovators take notice, it’s particularly rewarding. Although we didn’t claim the title this year, we are proud of our team and the great product we have developed.”
