RAMAT GAN, Israel (August 12, 2022)—Intuition Robotics, the company empowering older adults to live more engaged lives at home, announced that The Honorable Lance Robertson, former United States’ Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Aging, has joined its advisory board. Robertson brings an immense amount of relevant expertise to Intuition Robotics and will help the company form more partnerships with the aging network across the U.S.

Intuition Robotics is the company behind ElliQ, an empathetic artificial intelligence care companion robot that accompanies older adults on their journey to age independently while motivating them to live happier, healthier lives. ElliQ became available to the public in March 2022 and recently announced a partnership with the New York State Office for the Aging to bring ElliQ to seniors in New York state.

As HHS Assistant Secretary for Aging, Robertson was the US government's most senior official for the aging, responsible for managing the agency’s nationwide team, programs and research institute, as well as supporting older adults and people with disabilities to live and work independently. He also served as the nation’s gerontologist and lead for aging and disability issues, spearheading initiatives that connect health and human services with social determinants. He has worked extensively on home- and community-based services and long-term care with a focus on aging and disability. Previously, Robertson was the State Director, Aging Services at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. His experience is rooted in supporting the nation’s most vulnerable populations, which aligns with Intuition Robotics’ mission to empower older adults to age independently.
