ELYRIA, Ohio — Net sales for 2010 increased 1.7 percent to $1.72 billion versus $1.69 billion in 2009, Invacare reported last week. Organic net sales for the year grew 1 percent, but that growth rate should increase to 2 to 4 percent in 2011 as the company shifts to a global operating model and continues to focus on efficiencies, the manufacturer said in its year-end earnings report.
In the U.S., Invacare said it will "remain judicious" in extension of credit with the advent of competitive bidding and is also watching state Medicaid budgets.
