LAS VEGAS—Intuition Robotics has announced ElliQ’s new health agent capabilities, an expansion of the ElliQ robot that turns the artificial intelligence (AI) companion into a proactive health agent, increasing insights on health and functional status as well as adherence on medications, screenings, wellness activities, lifestyle recommendations and clinical action plans.
ElliQ health agent offers a suite of AI insights such as continuous instrumental activities of daily living estimate scoring, personalized check-ins and followups, fall-risk assessments, behavioral change detection and raising a “check-engine-light” alert that signals to clinicians when based on the older adults change in condition a clinical assessment is advisable.
ElliQ health agent also drives fulfillment of assessments and screeners such as HRA (health risk assessments), patient health questionnaire-2, generalized anxiety disorder-2 and helps identify and close care gaps related to consumer assessment of health care providers and systems and health care effectiveness data and information set. This allows ElliQ to leverage engagement to support health plans and providers in both quality measures and preventive care workflows.
At the center of ElliQ health agent capabilities is an expansion of ElliQ’s goal based system to include new health goals: ElliQ’s proactive behaviors are now also guided by health goals set by the older adults, clinicians, families or by the ElliQ team. When a goal is defined, ElliQ uses conversations and structured activities to encourage the user toward meeting that goal. These goals span behavior and medical insights, assessments, check-ins, gap closures, adherence and wellness plans for mental, physical, cognitive, sleep, nutritional and daily activity support. With this new health layer, Intuition said ElliQ encourages and assists users to complete medical questionnaires, improve adherence and provide the clinical team with clear, timely insights.
