Nathan Rich plans to manage the company’s investor relations efforts in the new role

INDIANAPOLIS—Elevance Health, a health benefits organization and health insurance provider, announced the appointment of Nathan Rich as VP of investor relations. In this role, Rich aims to manage the company’s investor relations efforts, support the company’s growth initiatives and strengthen its relationships within the investment community. Additionally, Rich will serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Rich succeeds Stephen Tanal, who will serve as chief financial officer for the company’s government health benefits business.

“Nate brings nearly two decades of experience spanning multiple sectors, including managed care, health care services and consumer industries,” said Mark Kaye, executive VP and chief financial officer. “His diverse expertise, coupled with his analytical acumen, will be instrumental in driving our strategy forward as we continue to evolve as a lifetime trusted health partner.”

Before joining Elevance Health, Rich served as VP of global investment research at Goldman Sachs, a multinational investment bank and financial services company. Additionally, he has served in multiple sell-side research analyst roles at Citi, a global bank and wealth management provider.

Rich has a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
