Davis joins the Board after a 30-year career in home health & hospice care

WEST JORDAN, Utah—CareXM, a provider of clinical triage and virtual care coordination solutions for post-acute care, announced that Carla Davis has been appointed as an independent member of its Board of Directors, effective May 6, 2025. Davis joins the board following a 30-year career in home health and hospice, serving most recently as senior vice president of Hospice Operations at LHC Group.

“We are excited to welcome Carla to CareXM’s Board of Directors,” said Si Luo, CEO at CareXM. “Carla was one of the first customer leaders I had the privilege of meeting after joining CareXM, and from our first conversation, her unwavering commitment to advancing the patient and caregiver experience in hospice and home-based care settings at large was evident. Having her compassion, vision and perspective on our board represents a significant opportunity to guide the company in its rapid growth and evolution to become the most reliable triage solution partner for home-based care organizations. I’m confident that her expertise and influence will play a pivotal role in shaping our future.”

Carla Davis is an experienced industry advocate and executive leader with a background in hospice, palliative care and home health. Davis most recently served as senior vice president of hospice and palliative care operations and business development for LHC Group, a national provider of in-home health care services and a division of UnitedHealth Group.

Prior to LHC Group, Davis held a variety of executive roles across multi-service line care organizations, including CEO of Heart of Hospice, COO of VistaCare, and vice president of sales, marketing and market development at Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, a division of HCR ManorCare. She has a background in compliance, including experience with one of the country’s largest Medicare Administrative Contractors, Palmetto GBA.

“After decades in home-based care, I’ve seen how critical after-hours triage and patient care coordination are to both the patient experience and the experience of care teams," Davis said. "What excites me most about joining the board at this moment is CareXM’s experience in supporting our industry’s rapid consolidation and growth. That experience is meeting a moment of technological breakthrough in pragmatic application of AI that stands to create real impact on reducing the pressure triage and visit nurses face. I look forward to joining the board during this exciting moment and working together with the management team to advance the experience of patients, families and staff throughout the advanced illness journey."

CareXM said Davis has a passion for increasing access to high-quality care and has played a leading role in transforming end-of-life care across the country through her operational and growth expertise.

She has served on the boards of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Hospice Action Network, Home Care 100 and as president of the Louisiana and Mississippi Alliance for the Advancement of End-of-Life Care.
