OWINGS MILLS, Md. (May 4, 2017)—The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is pleased to announce it is moving to a 44 percent larger space, transitioning from a 3,600 square foot office to a larger 5,183 square foot office space to accommodate continued growth. As part of the transition, BOC will be closed beginning Thursday, June 1 and reopening Tuesday, June 6. The new address, effective June 6, 2017, is 10461 Mill Run Circle, Suite 1250, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117.

Founded in 1984, BOC is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to meeting the demands for quality patient care by offering credentials for professionals and suppliers of comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) care and durable medical equipment (DME). In recent years, BOC has experienced significant growth in both revenue and staffing through the addition of new credentialing programs and the establishment of a full-time business development team. Both strategies are yielding significant results, leading to the relocation and expansion of the headquarters facility.

BOC offers certification programs for orthotic fitters, mastectomy fitters and DME specialists, as well as facility accreditation for O&P practices, suppliers of durable medical equipment (DME), and pharmacies and chiropractors offering DME and related supplies, respiratory therapy and related supplies. While BOC’s impressive growth has led to many changes, leadership emphasizes the company’s continuing commitment to its core organizational values: Customer First, Innovation, Integrity and Professionalism.

“BOC’s main focus remains on our customers,” notes President and CEO Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE. “We are looking forward to the move to a larger space, where we will deliver the same award-winning customer service as we continue to grow.”

BOC’s customer-centric approach has been recognized by the prestigious Stevie Awards. The Stevies are the world’s premier business awards that honor and increase public awareness for the positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. In the last five years, BOC has received seven Stevie Awards for business development, customer service and innovation.
