LANDOVER, MD. (May 18, 2016)—This spring allergy season marks the 10th anniversary of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America’s (AAFA) asthma & allergy friendly Certification Program. Over 60 million Americans living with asthma and allergies have learned to trust consumer products and services that have earned the asthma & allergy friendly Certification Mark. Each has been tested against strict independent scientific standards and shown to be suitable for families with asthma or allergies, as well as schools or companies that seek to achieve a healthier educational or work environment.

AAFA will convene a select council of consumer-focused corporate leaders next week to discuss how Americans can more easily access products and services needed to help create healthy homes, schools and workplaces. Attendees include Justin Bates, President of Stanley Steemer, Inc., and senior executives from Dyson, Ltd., LG Electronics, Inc., Benjamin Moore & Co. and others.

The two-day program of events begins with an invite-only reception hosted by the Embassy of Ireland on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 and continues through the following day at venues across Washington, D.C.
