LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas—Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced a man from Trumann, Arkansas was arrested following an investigation into fraudulent claims submitted to the state’s Medicaid program.
“On July 25, Jordan Vales, 21, of Trumann was arrested on one count of Medicaid fraud, a Class A felony," said Griffin. "Vales was listed as an employee and caregiver at First Choice Home Care despite never providing any legitimate services. Utilizing his fraudulent profile, he submitted claims to Medicaid for services that were never rendered between June 13, 2022, and December 26, 2023, resulting in $96,711.68 in fraudulent payments.
Despite the lack of actual services rendered, Vales allegedly submitted Medicaid claims from June 13, 2022, through December 26, 2023. Those claims resulted in fraudulent payments totaling $96,711.68, according to the attorney general’s office.
“Those who commit Medicaid fraud need to know that my office is vigilant in its pursuit of justice,” Griffin said. “If you are committing these kinds of crimes, you will be held accountable. I commend my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for their diligence in securing this arrest, especially Special Agent Laura Glover.”
