IRVINE, Calif. — Amerita has acquired San Antonio-based Advantage Infusion Services as part of its plan "to become the premier specialty infusion services provider in the United States," according to a release. With an existing location in the area, the acquisition offers the company an opportunity to consolidate operations, improve costs and become a dominant share provider in the San Antonio market. Advantage CEO Ed Lee will remain as branch manager of the combined businesses.
"Advantage Infusion Services and Ed Lee have a great reputation in the pediatric market. This is a new specialty area for Amerita in San Antonio and complements our strength in the adult nutrition market," said Jim Glynn, Amerita president and CEO. The company has 13 locations in six states.
