The January edition of Medicare Quarterly Provider Compliance Newsletter lists three areas of concern to providers of durable medical equipment. Areas of concern, as found in RAC audits, are:
• Billing for arformoterol (Brovana) (J7605) and fomoteral fumarate (Perforomist) (Q4099)
• Lower limb suction valve prosthesis
• Overutilization of positive airway pressure (PAP) and respiratory assist device (RAD) accessories—improperly billed quantities
