F&P Solo, simplifies setup, enabling users to stretch the mask onto the face and adjust it with one touch

IRVINE, California—Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited announced the launch of the F&P Solo Nasal mask in the U.S. for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

What Fisher & Paykel said is the world’s first AutoFit mask, F&P Solo, simplifies setup, enabling users to stretch the mask onto the face and adjust it with one touch.

“We welcome the entrance of F&P Solo Nasal into the US and look forward to offering this mask to our customers and patients,” said Justin Callahan, VP of sales and marketing for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. “F&P Solo Nasal marks the creation of our AutoFit segment, and our teams have delivered a significant leap in mask innovation, driven by the unwavering commitment to enhance patient outcomes. The simplified setup and fit process makes it a valuable addition to our product lineup.”

Without conventional straps or clips, the mask reduces overtightening on the face. AutoLock technology holds the mask in place with minimal force and responds to sleep movement and CPAP-therapy pressure. It’s intuitive, innovative and first-of-a-kind, Fisher & Paykel said.

“Patients can set themselves up without assistance and then easily finetune the mask during nightly use for an optimal fit,” said Andrew Somervell, VP products and technology. “Our focus on what’s best for the patient led us here—we sought a result that optimizes for both comfort and simplicity, and we believe F&P Solo delivers on this.”

The mask is supported by positive clinical trial results:

  • 95% of users can set themselves up without assistance
  • 93% of patients rated their experience with the F&P Solo Nasal mask as simple or very simple

F&P Solo Nasal comes with a nasal cushion, featuring dynamic support technology that allows freedom of movement, while keeping the cushion comfortably in place. The cushion is available in four sizes—small, medium, large and wide—and one size for the headgear.

User-friendly packaging and the myMask App provide setup confidence and additional ongoing support if needed.

On Monday, April 22, Fisher & Paykel will hold a webinar where attendees can hear from its team as it reveals the new technology. Register here for free to attend and learn more.
