E1390 Review in Jurisdiction C

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Cigna Government Services, the
Jurisdiction C DME MAC, said last week it will be implementing a
service-specific medical review edit for oxygen concentrators
(E1390). “This edit is the result of data demonstrating a high
claims payment error rate for this product category,” the DME MAC
said in a listserv.

Claims subjected to the edit will be developed for additional
documentation, with suppliers asked to submit documentation such as
the detailed written order, delivery documentation and the initial
CMN plus any required recertification within 30 days of the date of
