LAS VEGAS (April 6, 2016)—Medtrade Spring attendees who visited the New Product Pavilion made their votes count on day three at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Providers’ Choice Awards (sponsored by HomeCare Magazine) yielded gold, silver, and bronze winners.

The Providers’ Choice Bronze Award went to the EZ Fold N Go Walker, another caretailing juggernaut from the folks at Logan, Utah-based Stander Inc. Matt Evans recently answered several questions to help prospective buyers get a better understanding of this highly convenient walker.

Q: There are a lot of walkers out there. Why do you think the EZ Fold N Go won this award?
Matt Evans, dealer sales manager, Stander Inc.: The EZ Fold N Go Walker is such a unique solution. There is no other walker on the market that is as portable and lightweight, and I think it won because people recognize the value in how that convenience really changes their lives for the better.

Q: How can your product help HME businesses succeed in these challenging times?
Evans: It’s pretty simple. Stander designs, manufactures and distributes premium products that help to increase our dealers’ store average sales. All of Stander’s products are cash sales items.

Q: What types of trends have you seen in the cash business among providers?
Evans: We have seen a very strong trend towards cash and carry products the last several years due to the new bidding system and the lower reimbursement rates. With Stander products our dealers are in control of their store, their inventory, and their profit margins. Selling just one of our EZ Fold N Go Walkers means a better margin than selling four or five cheaply made walkers from another manufacturer. When dealers sell better quality products, they have happier customers, and that means return business from a growing group of loyal consumers.

Q: What was attendee reaction among those who visited your booth at Medtrade Spring?
Evans: Dealers who don’t already carry the EZ Fold N Go Walker immediately recognize its innovation, and the value of having such a unique solution for their customers. We had many new accounts sign up with Stander at this Medtrade Spring event, and that is because they recognize that the innovation and quality built into our entire product line is really what makes Stander a cut above.

Q: Do you plan to attend Medtrade, scheduled for October 31–Nov 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta? If so, what deals and/or products do you plan to launch (if at liberty to say)?
Evans: Of course. We always attend the Medtrade show and love what they offer our business and the industry as a whole. What do we plan on launching? Dealers will have to come to our booth if they want to see.
