Each of the Vertess managing directors has actively launched, built, bought and sold health care companies, providing a clear understanding of the objectives of today’s health care entrepreneur.
Smith has an extensive health care management and M+A background. He has held a number of executive positions, including founding Lone Star Scooters, which offered DME/Complex Rehab equipment and franchise opportunities across the country; Lone Star Bio Medical, a diversified DME, pharmacy and home health care company; and BMS Consulting, where he has provided strategic analysis and M+A intermediary services to health care executives in the DME, home health and urgent care marketplaces.
