Former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s decision to enter hospice has ignited a national conversation around important health care options available during any stage of life

WASHINGTON—In the aftermath of the former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter’s passing, Tom Koutsoumpas, CEO of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the national voice for nonprofit advanced illness, hospice, and palliative care providers, released the following statement on Mrs. Carter’s passing:

BOSTON, (October 21, 2022)—Caring for patients with monkeypox requires training at scale for caregivers to help limit the spread of the virus. As part of its commitment to provide accessible, accurate health care information, care enablement platform CareAcademy has released a free online resource that educates direct care workers on the monkeypox virus to better care for themselves and their clients during this public health emergency. 

DALLAS (September 27, 2022)—The much-anticipated Medtrade 2023 is on the calendar for March 28-30 in Dallas, Texas.

In collaboration with the Educational Advisory Board (EAB), the official call for speakers is in effect-complete with a relatively new format for educational programs covering a wide range of topics.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (August 23, 2022)—The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) will hold its first-ever home and specialty infusion payer summit Nov. 2 in Dallas, Texas. NHIA’s goal is to provide education and discuss industry trends to help commercial health insurance plans better leverage home infusion to lower the total cost of care.
 

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. & WASHINGTON, DC (July 21, 2022)—The call for nominations is officially open for the annual CellTrak Home Care Aide Scholarship, benefiting aides across the country with scholarships to continue their educational efforts and further their home-based care careers. This year, the scholarship amounts have been doubled, increasing from $500 to $1,000 for 15 deserving aides.

ATLANTA (June 23, 2022)—Registration is open for Medtrade East, scheduled for Oct. 24-26 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. SmartSaver rates are now in effect and are the absolute lowest rates available ($125 for a Conference Pass and $30 for an Expo Pass). A Conference Pass includes full access to the Expo floor.
