System One Wins GSMA Award

MURRYSVILLE, Pa., and MUNICH — Philips Respironics and
Cinterion Wireless Modules have been honored by the GSMA, the
global mobile communications industry association. The companies
won an award for their collaboration on the System One sleep apnea
system, which enables two-way communication for immediate reporting
to doctors, over-the-air prescription pressure changes and health
care provider compliance reporting. The companies were selected
because of their effort to bring wireless machine-to-machine
innovation to the health care sector, according to the GSMA. The
association’s Best Embedded End-to-End Service Award was presented
at its Mobile World Congress held last month in Barcelona.
