SMITHFIELD, North Carolina—UNC Health Johnston Home Care and Hospice has been recognized as a “superior performer” by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) for achieving an overall patient experience score among the top 20% of eligible SHP clients for the 2025 calendar year.
The recognition is part of SHPBest, an annual program that honors home health agencies for consistently providing high-quality service. For the 2025 awards, SHP reviewed and ranked overall experience scores for more than 3,200 home health providers.
“Providing excellent patient care takes relentless effort, and our SHPBest award winners embody that every year,” said Jason Ballet, president of SHP. “This program lets us recognize the organizations that never settle, that keep improving the patient and caregiver experience even when they’re already performing at a high level. That kind of commitment deserves to be celebrated.”
UNC Health Johnston Home Care and Hospice serves Johnston County with a team of 46 employees, including office staff, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and home health aides.
