VitalWear Ranks on Inc. 500

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — VitalWear, which
makes thermal compression medical devices, was ranked No. 138 among
the country’s fastest-growing private companies on Inc.’s
500 list. Founded in 2001, the company had 1,285 percent growth
from 2005 to 2008, according to the magazine.

The company’s VitalWrap System holds two patents: one for its
contrast therapy system and method, the other for its fluid
connector. Eight more patents are pending for upcoming products. By
creating products tailored to growing markets in pain management,
orthopedic therapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation, the
technology enables both professionals and their patients to
self-administer treatment, the company said in a release.
