ACHC Works toward Baldrige Award

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Accreditation Commission for Health Care has received
the North Carolina Awards for Excellence Commitment Award. The
program recognizes businesses for “building sound and notable
processes through their implementation of performance management
principles.” ACHC will now compete for the Malcolm Baldrige Award,
a national award that recognizes the achievements of U.S.
companies’ successful performance strategies based on criteria that
enhance value for customers and improve organizational
effectiveness. Since 1988, only 75 organizations have received
Baldridge Awards.
