Trilogy100 Certified for Air Travel

Murrysville, Pa.-based Philips Respironics’ Trilogy100 portable
ventilator has been certified for use on commercial airlines taking
off or landing within the U.S. The ventilator passed the electronic
emissions test while operating both on internal and external power
sources and is compliant with the Air Carriers Access Act and the
Department of Transportation’s Nondiscrimination on the Basis of
Disability in Air Travel policy, the company said. The Trilogy100
offers both volume- and pressure-control ventilation for adult and
pediatric use and includes detachable, internal and external power
options. The detachable battery weighs approximately one pound and
can power the ventilator for up to three hours.
