CMS’ Third Special ODF on the Way

BALTIMORE — CMS has scheduled its third Special Open Door
Forum in an eight-part series on the competitive bidding Round 1
rebid.

Called “What You Need to Know Before Submitting Your Bid,” the
conference call will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 3:30 to 4:30
p.m. ET.

According to the CMS notice, the call will provide an overview
of the policies for change of ownership, grandfathering and
traveling beneficiaries. In addition, key supplier responsibilities
required under the terms of the DMEPOS competitive bidding contract
will be discussed.

Registration for bidder user IDs and passwords opened Aug. 17,
and CMS is urging providers to register early to avoid delays in
