The foundation’s cancer fund intends to assist with out-of-pocket homecare & DME costs

GERMANTOWN, Maryland—The HealthWell Foundation, an independent non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for underinsured Americans, announced it has opened a new fund that aims to assist with out-of-pocket costs for cancer homecare services and durable medical equipment (DME).

LeAnn Frette becomes the new chief solutions officer, focusing on operational & strategic issues. Chad Derner takes over as CFO, overseeing financial activities & operations.

MINNETONKA, Minnesota—Accra, a nonprofit organization that provides individualized homecare services to people with disabilities and older adults, has named LeAnn Frette as its new chief solutions officer. Frette transitions to her new role after serving as Accra’s chief financial officer (CFO) for more than a decade. In place of Frette, Accra has appointed Chad Derner as its new CFO.

Happen Ventures provides reuse services that support environmental sustainability and aims to foster economic and social benefits. The most recent donation was to Hope Esperanza, a nonprofit organization located in North Platte, Nebraska.

Nonprofit BAYADA CEO takes helm of leading home health advocacy organization, calls for policies to protect patient access to home-based care

MOORESTOWN, New Jersey—David Baiada, CEO of BAYADA Home Health Care, has been elected to lead the board of directors of The Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare (PQHH). Baiada is assuming this role after serving as treasurer. BAYADA is a founding member of the partnership and an advocate for home health and home care patient populations.

One tree for every PioneerRx system installed until April 30, 2024

NEW YORK (July 22, 2021)—The national, independent nonprofit FAIR Health has recently been awarded a grant from The John A. Hartford Foundation, a national organization dedicated to improving the care of older adults, to pilot a new set of shared decision-making (SDM) and other health care engagement tools geared toward older adults with serious illness. The initiative, which launched on July 1, will include a robust dissemination campaign and evaluation of the new tools.
