Philips Respironics’ Plant Named among Top 10

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — Philips Respironics’ manufacturing
plant in Murrysville, Pa., has garnered a spot in
IndustryWeek’s Top 10 Best Plants of 2009. The 125,000-sq.
ft. facility, which opened in 1990, was recognized for five basic
focuses — quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale —
which have guided the plant to increase its labor efficiency by 30
percent. The company’s Luminaries plant in Sparta, Tenn., also made
the list.
