Philips Respironics to Lay Off 90

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — Philips Respironics plans to lay off 90
workers at its Wallingford, Conn., location throughout 2011,
according to a June 10 report in The Record-Journal. A
company spokesman told the Meriden, Conn., newspaper that the
affected workers are in the manufacturing division and the work
will shift to other Philips locations as part of a company
realignment.

The company’s remaining staff in Wallingford will number about
90 workers in research and development, marketing, sales and
customer service department, the newspaper said.
