CMS Re-Ups NGS in Jurisdiction B

INDIANAPOLIS — CMS has again awarded the DME MAC contract
for Jurisdiction B — covering 23,000 DME suppliers in
Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and
Wisconsin — to WellPoint subsidiary National Government
Services, which was originally awarded the contract in January
2006.

The $86.7 million contract includes a base year and four
one-year options. Under the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, CMS
must re-compete its DME MAC contracts every five years.
