WATERLOO, Iowa (October 18, 2018)—VGM is now accepting proposals from prospective speakers for its annual Heartland Conference.

With eight education tracks to fill, conference organizers are looking for presenters to offer their expertise on a variety of topics, including business leadership and management, retail, sleep and respiratory, rehab, operations, sales and marketing, home accessibility, technology and regulatory.

“Heartland’s robust education program is designed to ensure that attendees, no matter what role they serve, leave each session equipped to grow professionally while earning CEUs,” said Sarah Conger, VGM’s director of Events and Heartland Conference chairperson. “Providing dynamic speakers to share their expertise and share best business practices is vital so attendees leave with much more than a great experience during their visit to VGM’s hometown.”

The 2019 conference takes place June 10–12, 2019, in Waterloo, Iowa, corporate headquarters of VGM Group, Inc. Attendees include HME and homecare industry experts as well as health care professionals working in a wide variety of roles and with all levels of experience.

Presenters come from all over the country and, like many of the conference attendees, they often return for the unique opportunity to connect with peers and manufacturers and experience hospitality from VGM’s associates.

“Speaking at Heartland is truly an honor and a privilege,” said Miriam Lieber, president of Lieber Consulting LLC. “The warmth and tireless energy exhibited by VGM staff combined with genuine Midwest hospitality makes presenting at Heartland a highlight of my year. Meeting old friends and colleagues in addition to making new business acquaintances in a familial and casual environment is always a real benefit of my time in Waterloo. Being in the company of other talented and skilled speakers makes VGM’s Heartland a conference you won’t want to miss!”

VGM’s three-day conference not only provides presenters the opportunity to share their expertise but also to attend networking and social events. According to Conger, presenting at Heartland is an effective way to increase visibility.

“For presenters, Heartland Conference is more than sharing your expertise,” said Conger. “It’s an opportunity for one-on-one time with our members and vendors, other presenters and VGM associates. It’s a great way to introduce or reintroduce yourself to the HME community.”
