WATERLOO, Iowa (April 13, 2022)—Attendees may think they’ve seen everything Heartland Conference has to offer, but this year’s conference will feature a baby kangaroo!

Kangaroos are just the beginning of Heartland’s 2022 lineup of new and interesting opportunities. The friendly marsupials are mascots at Hansen’s Dairy, a locally owned, farm-to-table dairy farm not far from VGM’s Waterloo, Iowa headquarters. This year’s conference attendees can buy tickets to tour the farm, meet the kangaroos and even milk a cow.

The 21st Heartland Conference—VGM’s signature educational event for the home medical equipment (HME) industry—will be held in person, June 13-15. In addition to the robust lineup of speakers, vendors and educational opportunities, Heartland is known for great food, entertainment and social gatherings, all included in one registration price that has not increased this year.

“We know many of our Heartland attendees come to Iowa from all over the country, so we love to showcase the best of our state,” said Jill Blaser, Heartland conference chair and design and development manager for VGM Education. “Beyond our jam-packed agenda, attendees are usually delighted by a few surprises as well.”

The 2022 educational schedule is also enhanced. Pre-conference offerings have expanded with a series of three-hour educational workshops. Expert-guided courses in data analysis have been added to help businesses capture and harness the power of data. And for early risers, Heartland’s new Morning Buzz will give attendees a chance to learn from experts in complex rehab technology.

All of it culminates with an epic Grand Slam party at the VGM farm—a baseball-themed blowout that will have attendees wondering if this really is heaven, after all.
