PERAMUS, New Jersey—Valley Home Care, a skilled home health services agency, announced it has earned Medicare’s highest patient satisfaction rating of five stars. The rating encompasses the categories below, each of which received four or five stars from patients, culminating in the overall five-star designation.
- A rating of 9-10.
- The home health team gave care in a professional way.
- The home health team communicated well.
- Medicine, pain and safety were discussed with the patient.
These scores, often referred to as HHCAHPS (home health care consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems) scores, are developed from a HHCAHPS patient experience survey used to measure the perspectives of individuals receiving skilled home healthcare from Medicare-certified agencies.
The five-star rating is based on the most recent patient satisfaction surveys for Valley Home Care's skilled home health services. The results are published by Medicare on its Home Health Compare website, helping patients and families make informed decisions when choosing a home health provider.
“The greatest compliment we can receive is the trust and confidence of our patients,” said Toni Modak, vice president of Valley Home Care. “This achievement belongs to every member of our Valley Home Care team whose dedication, compassion and commitment to excellence make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.”
