SAN DIEGO (November 13, 2019)—ResMed announced an upgraded AirView for Respiratory program that includes management by exception, providing HMEs and physicians with quicker access to essential respiratory patient data and allowing them to provide better quality care.

AirView has long used a “management by exception” feature to support sleep apnea patients more efficiently. AirView for Respiratory builds on this functionality, enabling respiratory care clinicians to quickly identify which patients may be experiencing ventilation issues or disease progression all on one screen.

In addition to management by exception, AirView for Respiratory now includes interactive reporting capabilities that allow physicians and HME providers to view granular clinical data and ventilation trends over time. This on-screen tool is designed to help clinicians get a better picture of a patient’s therapy.

Management by exception and interactive reporting is available now for patients in the United States, Canada and Latin America.

In 2016, Astral was the first in-home ventilator connected to AirView, enabling remote monitoring of key patient data. Today, AirView has over 11 million patient accounts across sleep apnea and respiratory devices.
