NORWOOD, Mass. (October 11, 2018)—Reliable Respiratory a home respiratory and specialty medical equipment provider in New England, announced that it has acquired the ventilation business line of Enos Home Medical. The acquisition provides Reliable Respiratory with additional scale in southern New England and an enhanced ventilation product offering.
“Ventilator care is one of the most intensive and highest acuity lines of homecare for patients,” said Eric Mongeau, VP of Sales and Marketing at Reliable Respiratory. “We understand the complexities of caring for these patients and take great pride in meeting their clinical and personal needs. We are committed to providing the best team of respiratory therapy and support staff to care for them, so that they may live with comfort, dignity and confidence. We are pleased to welcome Enos’ ventilatory patients in our family.”
For nearly 20 years, Reliable Respiratory has worked with health care providers and insurance carriers to provide respiratory-related health care equipment and care support to patients. With this acquisition, Enos Home Medical patients will now be offered Reliable Respiratory’s comprehensive home ventilation program. The acquisition allows Enos Home Medical to focus on its core services and will enhance Reliable Respiratory’s vent offerings.
“Our patients’ best interests are always a driving factor in our business decisions,” said Jon Enos, CEO of Enos Home Medical. “And, it is with great confidence and assurance that we have selected Reliable Respiratory to care for our ventilation patients moving forward. We know they will receive the latest technology and the highest quality care. It also feels good to know our vent patients are going from one-family owned company to another.”
Reliable Respiratory’s home ventilation program, in compliance with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Guidelines, includes both invasive and non-invasive ventilation devices, along with access to direct, in-home support from Reliable’s clinical team. The program is designed to help patients transition from acute care back to their homes with the goals of scalable independence and ongoing compliance with prescribed treatment. Ventilation, particularly, non-invasive ventilation is commonly used to improve airflow and prevent respiratory infections in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, pneumonia, lung injuries and other respiratory-related conditions.
