EAST AMHERST, New York—The National Coalition for Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART) has added industry leaders Alexis Ward, Michael Hughes and Derek Meier to its board of directors.
Ward currently serves as head of funding & advocacy for Cubby Beds, Hughes is national sales director, ATP for Motion Composites and Meier is director of government affairs & advocacy for Rifton.
“All three new board members have been active in CRT legislative affairs and have many years of experience with providers and manufacturers,” said Wayne Grau, NCART executive director. “We look forward to their leadership and input as we continue to advocate for CRT providers, manufacturers and consumers.”
NCART is a national nonprofit organization of suppliers and manufacturers of complex rehab technology (CRT) products and services used by individuals with disabilities and chronic medical conditions. NCART seeks to ensure these individuals have adequate access to CRT products and supporting services. In pursuit of that goal, NCART works with consumers, clinicians and physicians along with federal, state and private policymakers to establish and protect appropriate coverage, coding, funding and supplier standards policies.
