ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 27, 2018)—Working in conjunction with The National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS), MK Battery recently completed and was granted approval for a .1 CEU course entitled, “Battery Technologies.”

According to Mike McCarthy, MK’s director of corporate accounts, “This 1-hour, comprehensive unit has been designed to provide in-depth instruction on the proper selection, installation, care and maintenance of batteries used in power mobility equipment, and is geared toward the education of technicians, ATP’s and others who cater to the HME/mobility market.”

The curriculum for this course meets certification standards as set by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Topics include but are not limited to: battery chemistries and appropriate utilization; how batteries work; proper charging; care and maintenance of batteries; chargers and testers; how to test; battery safety; and battery troubleshooting for wheelchair technicians.
