FORT MYERS, Florida—Merits Health Products announced the grand opening of The Hangar, its new manufacturing and operations facility in Fort Myers, Florida, on Oct. 22. The opening marks the official transition of Pilot Navigator Curved Stairlift production from Asia to the United States.
The company said the new facility strengthens Merits' ability to serve customers across North America by increasing production efficiency, improving quality oversight and providing enhanced customization options.
"The Hangar represents an exciting new chapter for Merits," said Andrew Maskery, president of Merits Health Products. "Bringing production of the Pilot Navigator Curved Stairlift to the United States, allows us to deliver faster lead times, greater customization and even higher levels of quality and service for our dealers, providers and customers."
The company continued that the transition to U.S.-based manufacturing offers several key advantages, including:

The Pilot Navigator Curved Stairlift is designed to help individuals navigate curved stairways while maintaining independence in their homes.
To commemorate the opening, Merits Health Products invites industry partners, dealers, healthcare providers, customers, local business leaders, media representatives and members of the Southwest Florida community to attend the official grand opening celebration.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the new facility, meet the Merits team, learn about the manufacturing process behind the Pilot Navigator Curved Stairlift and celebrate the future of U.S.-based production with industry peers and community partners. The celebration will take place Thursday, Oct. 22, from 4-6:30 p.m. ET. The tour will take place at The Hanger's new location at 9983 Gulf Logistic Drive, Building 5, Unit 511.
