FT. WORTH, Texas (April 14, 2021)—Jet Health Inc., a regional provider of home health and hospice services, announced the acquisition of Hospice de la Luz, an Albuquerque, New Mexico-based hospice company. The acquisition marks Jet Health’s third hospice-related acquisition and furthers the company’s strategy to add this offering to the current home health markets it serves.

Hospice de la Luz is a local hospice company which has been serving patients throughout Albuquerque and surrounding areas since its 2005 founding.

“The acquisition of Hospice de la Luz is yet another example of our ability to source and close deals with high-quality partners to fuel the growth of our business. It is also demonstrative of our abilities to execute on our strategy of becoming a multiple service line provider of home-based care in the markets we serve. By offering our home health patients a choice to remain in our care as they transition to hospice, we believe we can improve their continuity of care, comfort and overall satisfaction. We are excited by the opportunity to better service our patients and referral sources throughout the Albuquerque marketplace,” explained Stacie Bratcher, Jet Health’s chief executive officer.

Hospice de la Luz majority owner Robert Metz said, “We have been serving patients in Albuquerque for more than 15 years. We wanted to join forces with a home health provider to expand our services and have an opportunity to grow. We chose to join Jet Health based on its excellent clinical care and service reputation under the Klarus brand as well as the people-centric culture. We knew our patients and employees would be in good hands with Jet Health.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Funding for the transaction was provided by SV Health Investors and Health Enterprise Partners. Stradling Yocca Carlson and Rauth acted as legal counsel to Jet Health.
