PORT WASHINGTON, New York—Drive Medical has agreed to buy Compass Health Brands for an undislosed sum, the company announced.
Drive, which makes and distrubutes durable medical equipment and respiratory products worldwide, said the move would strengthen its product portfolio and expand its ability to serve retailers, consumers and health care providers across the continuum of care. Compass, which supplies branded and private label onsumer medial products, including ProBasis, Carex and TheraMed produts, "brings a complementary mix of branded and private label offerings, strong customer relationships, and proven capabilities that align closely with Drive Medical’s long-term growth strategy," the company said in a release.
“This acquisition represents an important step forward for Drive Medical as we continue to broaden our range of offerings, allowing customers to access a more comprehensive portfolio through a single trusted partner,” said Drive Medical CEO Derek Lampert.
Drive itself was purchased by Kingswood Capital Management in October 2025 and in December returned to its prior branding as Drive Medical, a shift after several years as Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare.
Following the transaction, Ohio-based Compass will operate as a division of Drive Medical, which is based in New York, to maintain continuity for customers, suppliers and employees, followed by a phased integration into the broader organization.
“Joining Drive provides the investment, infrastructure and global reach needed to accelerate innovation and scale our solutions far beyond what we could achieve independently," said Compass CEO Stuart Straus. "Most importantly, I want to thank the Compass team whose commitment, resilience, and customer focus built the foundation that made this next chapter possible.”
