NAIMES Hits New High

HALIFAX, Va. — The National Association of Independent
Medical Equipment Suppliers has hit the 200 mark with new members
in Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Georgia and New
Jersey, the group announced in its newsletter last week. The
organization hopes to reach 300 members by the year’s end.

That means more muscle on Capitol Hill, said NAIMES President
Wayne Stanfield. “If we can bring one member per district to the
table, we will increase our power in Washington,” he said.

NAIMES is committed to the fact that only Congress can change
the direction of policy for DME, the announcement added: “Direct
intervention by Congress is the only solution to the issues we
face. Only Congress can end competitive bidding and remove the
oxygen cap.”
