CMS Issues MLN Matters Article on NCB
BALTIMORE—CMS has issued a Special Edition MLN Matters
article going over the steps HME providers should take to get ready
for national competitive
bidding “to ensure successful bidder
registration.”
In accordance with its timeline for the Round 1 rebid, CMS
opened registration yesterday for passwords and user IDs for its
online bidding system, which DMEPOS providers who plan to
participate must use (see HomeCare Special Alert, Aug. 17).

The agency also has scheduled a conference call tomorrow (Aug.
19), from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, to explain the registration process. To

instructions for the rebid, including the nine MSAs where the
program will take place as well as product categories that will be
