Open Door Call on Medicaid Integrity Program

CMS has set a special Open Door Forum conference call Wednesday,
July 15, from 1-2:30 p.m. ET to address its Medicaid Integrity Program.

The discussion will include the three types of Medicaid
Integrity Contractors the agency has contracted to review provider
actions, audit claims, identify overpayments and carry out
education. The “Review MICs” use advanced data mining techniques to
identify provider targets for the “Audit MICs” to pursue, CMS said.
The call will also include a review of the audit process and audit
timelines.
