MED Group Offers Resupply Solution

The MED Group said last week it has partnered with PPM
Fulfillment on an outsource replenishment solution for CPAP and
other therapy supplies.

“The business model has changed from one where the dealer makes
each delivery to one where alternative methods, such as shipping
product and contracting with specialized outside warehousing, must
be utilized to maintain profitability,” said PPM President Chris
Hoffmann.

MED believes the warehousing solution will save its members
money while maintaining the high standards of care their patients
have come to expect, added Kelly Riley, director of the National
Respiratory Network for the Lubbock, Texas-based member services
group. “If you look at the costs associated with traditional
delivery, HMEs incur from $50 to $80 plus additional warehousing
costs just to deliver simple replenishment supplies. This can
become cost-prohibitive in today’s market.”
