HomeWell Names Leslie Poteet Executive VP of Franchise Operations

BURKBURNETT, Texas—HomeWell Franchising, the franchisor of HomeWell Care Services, a national provider of nonmedical home care, announced Leslie Poteet’s appointment as executive vice president of franchise operations.

Poteet joins HomeWell as the company continues to expand its national footprint, with 160 active locations nationwide, including more than 30 slated to open soon. In her new role, Poteet will lead franchise operations strategy, with a focus on franchisee performance, operational consistency and strengthening the support HomeWell provides to its owners.

“As HomeWell continues to grow, our responsibility to our franchise owners grows with it,” said Crystal Franz, CEO of HomeWell Franchising. “Leslie brings the kind of franchising experience that will help us build on the momentum we’ve created over the last several years. She understands what it takes to operate a franchise business because she’s experienced it from both sides. She knows how to bring structure and consistency to an evolving system without losing sight of the people running these businesses every day. That perspective is going to be incredibly valuable to our owners and to us as a franchisor supporting them.”

Poteet began her career with Sylvan Learning in 2006 as a center director in Boston. Over nearly two decades with the organization, she held progressively senior leadership roles spanning franchise operations, business development, product development and management systems, ultimately serving as vice president of operations for a system of more than 500 locations. In addition to leading operations at the franchisor level, Poteet has operated and grown a multi-unit franchise business, giving her firsthand perspective on both sides of the franchisor-franchisee relationship.

“My career has been dedicated to working alongside franchise owners and helping them realize their vision for success,” said Poteet. “I was drawn to HomeWell by the strength of its franchise community, leadership team, the momentum of the brand and the meaningful work our owners and their teams do every day. I look forward to getting to know our owners, understanding their business and ambitions and ensuring we continue to build the support and infrastructure that will help them grow and succeed.”
