MedPAC Freezes HHA Updates

WASHINGTON — The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission has
voted to eliminate the marketbasket payment update for home health
agencies in 2011. MedPAC would also require HHS to rebase the
provider group’s payments to better reflect the cost of providing
care.

The commission’s recommendations will be included in its March
report to Congress.
